Root Beer Float Cookies: Six Sisters Who Know Root Beer Baking

We at RBB are always searching the web for new and improved root beer recipes. We typically come across common recipes for homebrew, cup cakes, and even poultry..... But 6 sisters caught us by surprise with a unique approach to root beer cookies!
But the more we learned about the sisters the more we realized how much we had in common with them..... 6 of them (six of us)..... Bound by a shared love, theirs is recipes & crafts (our is obvious)....... Connecting to each other and the world via blogging (yup us too)..... This reminds us of Bizarro World.... As if the 6 Sisters are our counter part in another parallel universe !!!!!!

As you can imagine we are digging' these similarities..... But mostly because they love root beer too despite their distaste for carbonated drinks..... Like I said Bizarro World!

Anyway their recipe is first class, give it a whirl..... You will thanks us and the Sisters later :)

Root Beer Float Cookies
Makes about 3 dozen large cookies or 4 dozen medium cookies (depending how big you like 'em!)

Root Beer Float Cookies
by: Six Sisters Stuff

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. root beer extract or concentrate
4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Frosting Ingredients:
4 cups powdered sugar (or icing sugar)
3/4 cup butter, softened
3 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. root beer extract or concentrate

Preheat oven to 375º.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in buttermilk and root beer extract.
Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
In a mixing bowl, combine all frosting ingredients. Beat until smooth.
Frost cooled cookies.
